Adult Primary Care

Can anyone recommend a primary care physician in the Newton area for me and/or my husband? Our primary care is changing his practice and we need to find a new one. I don't know where to begin. I'd like to find someone in the Newton or surrounding area so that I don't have to trek too far. Any recommendations or feedback on doctors that you can share would really be helpful.

What can I do next?

I second the vote for Family Care Associates - my husband and newborn daughter have Dr. Chodhirker (both just added, so I know he is taking new patients) and my toddler son and I have Dr. Rockett as our primary care (but she is not taking any new patients). We really like it there. I have some colleagues who rave about the Marino center as well, which someone else mentioned.

My husband has been going to an adult primary care doc in Wellesley for years. Her name is Dr. Pedersen and she is now affiliated with the Marino Wellness Center.

My husband and I use Dr. Nicholas Mascoli at Newton-Wellesley Internists. Their office is located at N-W hospital. Sorry, I don't have the number handy. I've really liked him, and always felt like he took the time to listen to all I had to say/ask. I never felt like he was rushing me out of the office. Good luck!

My husband and I and our 3 young kids all go to Dr. David Chodirker in Wellesley Hills--on route 9 JUST west of 128 heading westbound. He's a family physician so it's been great as we all 5 can go and often stack appointments/check-ups, etc. Also in his practice are Dr. Snyder and Dr. Rhonda Rockett--both great, too. ###-###-####.

Hi M. -

I have been going to Newton Wellesley Primary Care in Needham Center and they have been fantastic. Their PAs are excellent, and they email, so you don't always have to call if you have a simple question. They work with NWH.

Good Luck!
