Birth Control Question - Possible Morning Sickness?

levora is stronger than OTC Lo, if i recall. i'm not surprised it makes you nauseated. taking it at night can help, actually. in the end, if the symptoms are such that it makes you not want to take it, it's not the right pill for you.

for very mild symptoms, yes, a few months is realistic, but daily gagging isn't mild to me.

a paragard IUD would eliminate hormonal issues as would TCOYF, but there is what some consider a huge time investment in fertility awareness (daily temping, charting, cervical mucus, etc.)

the pill Cyclessa hardly gets a complaint where i work (planned parenthood) and the practitioners have nothing but positive things to say about it. that doesn't mean it's the right pill for YOU, but it does seem to have a good track record w/a lot of folks.

I may sound like a broken record, but I highly suggest you get off the pills and get the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Dr. Toni Weschler! I am unable to take BC pills because I have a blood clotting issue and I did not want a IUC. This book has helped me both achieve and avoid pregnancy! Also, it is very empowering to finally understand what my cycle is doing.

I am sure it is your birth control. It's the hormones that are making you sick just like when you are pregnant. I tried countless different kinds of birth control pills and they all made me so sick to the point of throwing up everyday. I switched to and IUC and I love it. I haven't had any problems. I would tell your doctor you are ready to try something else. It's not worth being miserable for the next two months.

Oh yes, I've had these symptoms from BC pills. My doctor prescribes one pill, and of course I get the generic. But, then the generic had a generic. So, I just went with it, because I've never had any problems. That new pill made me very sick. I even took a pregnancy test!! So, I told the pharmacist and they made sure to go back and get me the one I had been taking before, and things are back to normal. I googled the new pill and found other women had had the same experience I had. Now, the pharmacist insisted it was the exact same ingredients and it shouldn't be doing this. But it's my body, and I'm telling you girl, I was getting sick every day from it. Good luck.

I don't know about the nausea, but I know one birth control I was on I wanted to cry and I really had as you say pms problems, so they deceided it was the wrong strengh for my body. Maybe use some other form to be sure while you get lined out with maybe another kind or strength, so you will have double protection while trying to figure it out.

As you are probably aware that you can get pregnant on BC pills. It is not 100% safe proof. Please be sure to take a pregnancy test. And I also would take the pill at night just before you go to bed. Good luck.

I took BC pills, various kinds for many years. Most of them would make me nauseaous if I took them in the morning. I found the best time to take them was around lunchtime or before bed.

U may need to take a pregnancy test. Jut because u had you period doesn't mean you don't have the pregers.also birth control is designed to trick you body into thinking it already pregnant so that could be it.good luck!

Try taking it before you go to bed. I had this problem, even taking it a tnight. I would wake up nauseated. I had to be on the mini pill...the hormones in the other pills were just too strong for me.

The same thing happened with me. The dr's office also told me to wait a few months. I did and the nausea went away by the 3rd month. Now I have no side effects.

I take mine at night, often with a little snack, and that helps reduce any of the physical side effects. I'd say that if it's effecting your mood, you might need a lower dose. I take a generic of Lo-Ovral and haven't had any of the side effects other pills have.

I've been on several birth control pills and they all made me nauseated. my doctor recommended that i take my
pills right before i'm going to bed instead of in the
morning. Luckily, that worked for me. If you take them
right before going to bed, you'll be sleep and they shouldn't have an effect on you. Hope that works for you!
