Hello,

My son is turning 3 and we had originally scheduled his party for this weekend but he came down with the flu so we're going to reschedule. It was supposed to be at a local park and we were doing a sports theme. I am now thinking of rescheduling it at a local pumpkin patch for the first weekend in October. They have a hay ride, swings, a maze, and a farm animal petting zoo. They also have picnic tables to have a party at. I think I'm going to change the theme to western/country... What ideas do you have for a cake and for gift bag ideas, etc? I'm at a loss!

Thanks so much for any ideas!

What can I do next?

If you need birthday invitations, I would be happy to make something custom for you with a pumpkin patch theme www.WorksofaWink.com

Instead of a cake you can do pumpkin little pumpkin shaped cakes. All you do is buy the little mini bunt pans, bake two bunt cakes and stack them on top if each other (one face up, one face down). They are really cute, I think there is a picture in the new Family Fun magazine, either that or Parenting magazine. Good luck, it sounds like a lot of fun

Ah..Jeanie! Noah's Ark Animal Workshop has the CUTEST stuffable animals. I come to your location and bring all of the animals for the kids to hand-stuff and name.

You can check out my website for more information and to check out our animals and outfits: www.EverAfterParties.com.

They make a great activity for the kids and take-home gift!

Instead of gift bags why not dress the guest in bandanas, hats, sheriff's badges. They could enjoy them throughout the party. Oriental Trading would be a good source.

We had a horse party and we went to Hobby Lobby and got different colored bandanas and found clothes line rope(was the cheapest) and found some sheriff stars at dollar store, bubbles and small items and used that as a gift bag. We hand made names and tied to the ends of the rope.

They could each pick out their own pumpkins to decorate like cowboys. this takes care of an activity and take home goody. Buy bandanas and little cowboy hats to decorate. Pre cut little mustaches, noses and eyes out of sticky back foam for easy crafting. That would be cute!
Other thought:
Western cupcakes decorated with horseshoes and stars?
Trail mix favors wrapped in bandanasand raffia?
Cowboy hats or vests for favors?
You can get a ton of dress up stuff right now during Halloween season!
Have fun! i love theme parties!!
