I can totally relate to the itching. I had that with number three. Completely unexpected. It was a joke at work as I itched constantly- I couldn't stop. I switched to cotton, non wire bras, which helped a little with comfort but lotions or anything else "moisturizing' did not help. It eventually died down by the third trimester. Wish I could offer more, but just wanted to let you know that someone else experienced the itching.

Not to sound silly, but utter cream worked for me. We lived on the farm and well, if it works for the cow then it should work for me too- and it did :)

If your breasts are red (looks like a rash) and hot, you may have mastitis. It's an infection of your breast tissue. You may have a little drainage with it, too. It's most common in women that have just had a child or are pregnant, but you can get it even when that isn't the case. It is very itchy, very painful, red, can feel a bit hard, and sometimes has drainage if you express your nipples. You may have a fever with it, too, since it is an infection. Go to the doctor and have them check you out. Antibiotics will take care of it in a few days. I hope you feel better soon! I had it many years ago and it was horrible!! I feel your pain! It might not be mastitis, but that's the first thing that came to my mind. Definitely talk to your doctor.

This may sound a little funny but what you can do is take lettcue (spelling) leafs and put them over your boobs and then put your bra on. There is something in the leaves that draws out the burning and itching. It really helps a lot. Best of luck to you.

Try all kinds of lotion til you find the one for you. When I was pregnant, only my left nipple was like that. Constant, horribly painful burning. Aveeno lotion for extra dry skin worked for me, but a friend of mine had the same porblem and nothing worked for her until she found some kind of recipe online for an oatmeal paste!
