Hello Mommies,

My husbands work is doing a Children's Christmas party this year, and they put my husband in charge of the activites. Needless to say, he is clueless as to what children aged 3-10 would be interested in. I'm curious if any of you have any neat ideas that would be an easy game, craft, activity, etc. Again, the ages of children are 3- 10. We've already figured to do cookie decorating, and coloring printed paper ornament shapes to be placed on a tree at the offices. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a whole bunch, and Happy Holidays!

familyfun.com has tons and tons of holiday crafts, especially for the older children.

have a station to make Reindeer Food:
Oatmeal
Red glitter or red sugar crystals (this is the magic dust that makes reindeer fly)
ziploc bags

Peppermint playdough:
3 cups flour
1 cup salt
1/3 cup oil
colored water (add as needed to desired consistency)
peppermint extract
Mix and sotre in airtight container or bag

Teacher supply stores and some craft sores sell instant snow. It's great to sit out in big tubs and let the kids play in.

Candy cane reindeer-attach brown pipe cleaners for antlers, googly eyes and a red pom pom for a nose.

How about making snow flakes. You can also go to Michaels or Joannes any crafts place and they have foam holiday kits that kids 3 & up can make they usually cost about 10.00 for up to 25 kids. How about Santa and the kids can sit on his lap and get a photo taken? Also, my husbands work always had a magician come and do little tricks. Coloring and or playdough is always fun too. Good luck

Face painting.. but then there will need to be grown-ups who will paint the kids faces.

Or, get a bunch of body tattoos... there are all kinds at www.orientaltrading.com There are a LOT of craft ideas/kits and activity ideas on this website too.... and at bulk rate prices. I get a lot of my things from there.

Good luck!
