Do any of you have Clipo from Playskool? I was thinking of getting this for my 2 year old for Christmas, but I have seen mixed reviews. Some people hated it and others like it. I just want to make sure they are easy enough to put together and will be fun for my little guy.

What can I do next?

The "SHerman" guy from News channel 16- gave fair rating almost poor rating on this toy. Not very interactive and took awhile for the kids to put it together. If it were me- I would stick to basic legos. People try to get fanicer each year with the toys and when it comes down to it, the basics are always the best.

My daughter got some clipo stuff for a birthday a few years ago, and it only got touched once. I don't think it holds their interst. On the other hand, I am a confirmed believer in legos. My kids have hada them from age 2 on, and they are now 28 25, 15 and 13, and they all love to play with them. I like toys they don't outgrow. and for the little ones, there are all kinds of big legos zoo's, and trains and stuff, that can get recycled as other things as the kids mature. With Lego's, be sure not to push your children past the age limits on the boxes. The lower limit is REAL. to move into the older aged "stuff" they need the fine motor movement, plus the ability to organize their projects, and it's not worth frustrating them by buying something that is more mature than they are.

glad you asked because I bought them for my 18 mo old, but Sherman Burdette (on our local TV station) tested them with kids and said that for 3 year olds they were great, but the younger kids had a difficult time getting them to stick together. so, now, I'm considering returning them. I'll be watching this question closely.
