I am looking for a certain kind of crib. It is wood, the thing that is different about this one is the side rail folds down. It is on hinges. I have only seen them at childrens consignment stores. I don't know if they still make them or where to buy one at. Does anyone know what I sm talking about? Or where I can find one? Thanks

What can I do next?

We have the crib you are talking about from BabysDream. I love it! Segals in Murray Hill has them.

Hey C....I know high end stores carry those Pottery Barn and there is a shop out in Beaverton that carries all sorts of great quality baby furniture. here's a great website with phone and addresses http://www.helloportland.com/YP/c_CHILDRENBABYFURNITURE.Cfm

Also check craigslist...you may be able to find some goodies for a reasonable price.

Good luck with the weee ones!

Hi, This cribs sounds like it might be a "Babys Dream" crib. My Daughter has one of these. It has gone from a crib, to a toddler bed, and now a full size bed. She is 5 now. Check out the web site a Babysdream.com. That site should also give you the stores in Oregon who carry it. Hope that helps. Good luck with your newest little one.

Dear C.,

I have used such a Child Craft Crib'n Bed for my two children, and have been very happy with it. I am also considering selling it, so contact me at ____@____.com if interested. I'm in the SE Woodstock area. This crib also converts into a toddler and youth bed. It is honey grained oak, very warm and sturdy wood. It comes with two roomy drawers underneath and a 3 drawer compartment, which we have kept on the right side, not sure if it can go on the left. I bought it from a consignment store and it's in excellent used condition, just looking to replace it with a white bed.

Our crib is from JC Penny. We ordered it online. I beleive they still carry it. I don't remember the style name but has a fold down side instead of lifting up and down. I love it. It is still a little difficult to put up and down but much better than cribs that slide up down that I have used.
