I am thinking about taking my 3yr old to Disney on Ice at the Palace in Oct - however I am trying to figure out if the rink side tickets are the $. She and I are on the shorter side and I want her to be able to see and enjoy the show. Can anyone give me suggestions on what tickets are better rink side, VIP, other? Thanks in advance

I've had seats on the ice and in the corner. Of course rink side is much better, but we enjoyed the show just as much in regular seats. Don't waste you money on more expensive seats...you'll need the extra cash for the overpriced concession items.

We went to Disney on Ice in Saginaw. The VIP front row tickets are the best. They only run about 10 bucks more and goofy skates right up to you. There are like 4 rows of them on the end parts of the rinks. The side seats are elevated like stadium seating so you can still see everything but not nearly as well. Bring a blanket, it is chilly. Also some cash concessions are high.

Vip tickets in Grand Rapids arestand alone hard chairs that are close but all level, so if youre short those would be awful, the regular seats will slant so they will help you see better.

We went to Disney on Ice last year and had rink side tickets. I would NOT recommend them, but having said that we went with some friends and they had rink side (on the side - like mid-field on a football field) and she said they were great - that is why we got rink side... but when we went we had rink side on the end (like where the end zone is on a football field) and it was horrible. It was hard for the adults to see (let alone the small children) as we were in the 2nd rink side row - which were still like $60 tickets. I would MUCH rather have paid for "worse" seats and had the chance of seeing something. Also, they had a lot of streamers and things like that that I don't think you could appreciate down on the ground, the view from higher up would have been better. I'm not sure about the VIP seats, but would recommend saving your money and not getting the rink side - hope this helps and have a great time!! Your daughter will love it!
