I need advice? Right now I can not afford those $500.00 juice machines. So does anyone know of a juicer that does a good job without me having to shell out some serious money OR is Spending that kinda of money worth it? I need one that does not make a lot of noise. So if anyone can help with some advice I sure would appreciate it.

What can I do next?

What health issues require juicing? Eating the whole veggie is usually better for you, and juicing too many fruits will give you too much sugar, so just be careful about that.

I just got a run of the mill $50 juicer when I decided to try juicing, and it worked well enough, but the actual diet made me sick. When I switched to just trying to eat a good amount of fresh fruit and veg I felt better.

Best of luck to you

this is sort of tangential to your actual question, so i apologize for not giving a direct answer. but MOST people need the fiber that comes with good (preferably organic) fruits and veggies, juicing does give the vitamins but also all the sugar without the structure to keep it from metabolizing too quickly. i'd consider a blend-tec or vitamix and make smoothies rather than just juicing, so you get the entire health benefit of the produce.
they're noisy suckers, though, for sure.

Did a doctor (a real MD, not a web-based "doctor") tell you that you needed to start juicing for your health? If not, try making smoothies instead. You'll get the whole fruit/veggie, which is generally healthier in the long run.

Check craigs list or freecycle. People get stuff like this with the good intentions of starting a healthy lifestyle and after a week or so it ends up in a closet. My daughter just picked up foam mats and a punching bag for next to nothing from a guy who was going to punch his way to fitness.

If you have a blender - I would try making veggie/fruit smoothies first using juicing recipes. I say that because I tried "juicing" for two weeks and it was a waste of money since it didn't do much for me. Plus, I read the other day that drinking veggie/fruit smoothies is better that juicing since you are removing most of the fiber by juicing instead of blending.

I have a Breville, which I bought after getting a cheaper one home and realizing the pulp was really soggy, meaning it wasn't extracting all the juice. Yes, it's a lot more expensive, but I got it at Macy's, on sale, with an additional coupon and ended up getting it for less than half - in fact, it ended up being about $10 more than the crappy one I returned. I love it and use it all the time. The pulp ends up very dry, so I'm not losing a lot of money on unused fruit and vegetables. Research them on line before buying.

By the way, I used the pulp in baking, meat loafs, stir fries, etc., so the fiber isn't wasted at all.

I have the Nutribullet and LOVE LOVE LOVE it !! bought it at Target ...
It grinds, chops and blends.. Gotta say, it works better than my old Olympic Juicer and is so much easier to clean... Thing is, if you buy it from Target and don't like it, they will accept returns .. so maybe give it a try.. Nutribullet also includes smoothie/juicing recipes.. the clean up is so easy and fast..
To me, it's been so worth the money.. I want to say we spent around 60ish for it... you don't need one of those big juicers.. I'd check out the nutribullet first.. see if you stick to jucing and then move on to the bigger equipment..

I totally thought you were having to start a steroid regimen. I guess "juicing" has a new connotation now...

I bought a ninja master prep pro because it has good reviews and have been very pleased with it.http://www.walmart.com/ip/Euro-Pro-Shark-Ninja-Master-Pre...
I can chop 3 separate things at once if I want to, or make smoothies for everyone in the big pictcher. It's only $60 and has a ton of uses. I loaned it out to a friend when her SO had to go on a liquid diet and theyve been pleased as well. It's only $60. Guess it depends on how serious you want to get with your juice.

I have a few friends who bought their Vitamix machines on eBay for super cheap. I have a Nutribullet that does what I need it to do. It is used every day, and was $100. Bed Bath and Beyond sells them, so you could use one of the 20% off coupons that come in the mail.

The hardest thing I ever did was push the button to order a Blendtec online! BUT it was the best decision I ever did! I had a ninja and every other blender (tried and they broke) and the ninja just didn't make the greens into juice. I would highly recommend it. I have had mine for 4 years and I have been extrememly happy with it!!!!

FYI: If you have a costco card they sell vitamixes for a lot less usually with a longer warranty.

I think all juicers and blenders are noisy. :) We have both due to the fact that blending is not great for those who have Crohn's/IBS since that fiber can be hard to digest. It's good for a "quick" way of getting all those micronutrients without too much extra fiber. We have Breville Juice Fountain that we love. We also use a Nutri-bullet for blending smoothies.

If you feel juicing will be good for your health, I suggest you read some information about hippocrates. http://hippocratesinst.org/
Like some others mentioned, lots of sugar is damaging to the body and we need fiber. Juicing to lose weight? May be ok. You have to learn which fruits or veg to combine too.
Cutting out animal products and all processed foods will help with ANY ailments you have.
Also, very important to remember is that whatever you have will take a long time to eliminate from your body. You have lots of toxins stored up in there. So.... if you start a clean diet and lifestyle you probably will feel awful for a while. You will go through stages of discharge.

Another point is that drs have NO nutritional training...... they have a 4 hour class throughout their ENTIRE time at medical school and that class is an elective. Going to a dr for nutritional advice is a waste of time. Going for a diagnosis may be beneficial.

Macrobiotics have also cured many people of all types of ailments. You may want to do some research into that as well.

Good luck

You might buy one at a thrift shop...they have lots of appliances that are tested. I used Mr. Juiceman (something like that), but it is a little noisy.
