My daughter seems to be ready for a big girl bed. I am trying to find some stores to go look for a set for her. Does anyone have some suggestions of great places to look?

Thanks!

What can I do next?

My husband makes beds! He made both of my girls their beds. If you are interested in seeing a picture let me know!

Rooms To Go! It is not expensive, yet not cheap like the furniture at Big Lots or Wal-Mart. (I know they are cheap because we have LOTS of it.) www.roomstogokids.com is their site address. They have basic stuff, frilly things, and nice "old fashioned" stuff like would have been out when we were girls.
Stay away from the Room Store! They have poor quality.
There is a Rooms To Go Kids in Mesquite, off of Town East.

We just moved and I am about to get my boys bunk beds. I will be getting rid of my daughters furniture (she got the boys old full bed). Anyway, my step mother bought it all from Bellini on Highland Park. It was very expensive and great quality. It has one dresser for clothes, a bookshelf with a drawer at the bottom, and a twin bed with a trundle underneath. It is off white and I painted the door and drawer handles light pink. Let me know if you are interested and I can ask my step mother how much she wanted to let it go for. Also I can send you pictures if you want. L.

Try target. I just brought my baby a big girl bed from them I really like it. You do have to put it all together, but it was a good price and it looks good.

Try Weirs. They have a location on Knox/Henderson and one in Plano. They have great deals in their clearance centers. You might have to be patient and keep checking back, but I just saw some little girl furniture in the one on Knox that was reasonable over the weekend.

ESTATE SALES!!!

I bought my older daughter's furniture at one, and it's very high-quality. The price was great.

My 2.5-y-o hasn't gotten her set yet, because I haven't found it yet.
BEST decision I made was to put her into a trundle bed; we have the trundle lowered (it's one that can be raised to the height of a regular bed). When she first started sleeping there, I had a bed rail on it. That made the transition from crib easier because she felt "enclosed" somehow. Just recently I removed the railing. I used it for about 4 months.

IKEA has wonderful kids' furniture and good prices. Cool styles and ideas, too. Check out IKEA.com.

Good luck!
