My dad suffers from bad flare ups of Painful inflammation relating to arthritis and Gout. Of course he hates going to the doctor and thinks Aleve is the cure all medicine. Can anyone recommend any home remedies that may work to relieve painful swelling during flare ups. Thanks In Advance.

Visit http://www.amoils.com/ - I've used the oils for other things (not arthritis) but I believe in them if they are used per the directions. It is definitely worth a try as continued use of aleve can give him stomach/digestive ulcers and other problems. Good luck!

Have you heard of Melaleuca? My mom and several friends have arthritis and other issues such as auto immune diseases that attack the body. Anyway, Melaleuca has products that work wonders. My mom takes the Replenex and for a month supply cost $10.15.! They stand behind their products. Try it for 90 days and if it is not working for you they will refund 100% of your money. Let me know if you would like to learn more. I would love to talk with you. They are also having a special this month so I hope to hear from you soon!

Hi D R
Neptune Krill Oil is nature's answer to cholesterol management, joint pain relief, and easing of PMS symptoms. This essential oil also shows great potential as an energy and alertness booster, skin protector, wrinkle fighter, and more.
This unique blend can affect life-changing results as a most potent antioxidant and can reduce C-reactive protein (CRP), a protein marker of inflammation found in the blood. More effective in fighting inflammation of many types, than found in Omega-3 fish oil.

Also noticed the word gout.Has your dad ever tested his ph balance?
I have learned through our nutritional specialist just how important it is to balance our ph level as we are a very acidic society. She talks of our digestive enzymes, and our total body cleanse to be excellent products in improving Ph.

Fish oil is a really effective anti-inflammatory and you can't really take too much of it. When I was dealing with high levels of inflammation my doctor recommended I take lots of fish oil, because I couldn't take the drug he normally prescribes for inflammation. I found it easier to take the liquid (about 2 tbsp, 3x/day will really lower ones inflammation). If your father doesn't want to believe this remedy, show him some articles from pubmed - www.pubmed.com and search on: fish oil inflammation. There's 737 articles. There's even now a super duper fish oil that doctors can prescribe, so it's not even considered an alternative therapy anymore.

D.R. I have been nurse since 1991. I would like to offer to provide your dad with a sample of Arbonne's Joint Formula with glucosamine. Arbonne's products are pure, safe & beneficial with no risks of medications such as Aleve. Short term, yes, but for long term, ask him if he will give it a try! I have found it to be very effective with my own joint pain & my husband hurt his hip & wrist & also has taken the joint formul. We also have a muscle rub that is AWESOME!
