I know there are some non-royal fans out there but for those who are, if you were the former Kate Middleton, what in the world would you give your MIL for Christmas? I can't even imagine! A homemade card? A necklace? An island????

Merry Christmas all!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

oops I actually meant Kate's grandmother in law, the Queen of England. But I guess it goes for royal step mother in laws too!

Well for this year, I imagine a positive pregnancy test would be a gift that could not be beat.
And her MIL is Camilla, Prince Charles wife.
Queen Elizabeth is Prince William's Grandmother.

I have seen interviews about Queen Elizabeth and apparently she is quite down to earth. Her former butler said she actually eats TV dinners and she was an ambulance driver during WWII. I also know she always carries a hankercheif in her purse so some pretty hankys would be a nice gift.

i'd be signing my name on the card William gives her with HIS present :)

i did see someone talking about this on TV and they said that as far as all the family stuff, she has been included for several years since they've been together so long, so it shouldn't be a huge deal - they thought maybe a nice frame with a wedding photo would be good lol.

She's actually a pretty down to earth lady. There's a great picture of her during WWII of her working on the engine of a vehicle.
I'd give her something I made , but she'd love whatever you gave her.

I would grace her with my presence to give her the gift of time. I would just sit and listen to her and gain wisdom on how she has ran the kingdom for so long. I am sure she has all kinds of advice that she can share as well as secrets.

Well, since her MIL is not the queen yet the two are actually on equal footing on that point. Both will be queen when/if their husband becomes king.

That being said, I am sure there are some traditions that dictate appropriate gifts none of which have anything to do with NEED!

Her MIL is dead~ Diana was a very giving person and had many charities she cared for. I think a donation of some sort to her fave would be a gift she would love. Even some have ornaments you can purchace and the donation goes to the charity. She still is a mother and preson aside from just being a queen...or was.
