Has tried the new Pampers Swipers wipes? If you have tried them are they any better then the regular wipes? I was thinking about getting some because my husband has a hard time with getting our son clean and he and wanted to uses alot of wipes to get the job done. Any input would be great! Thanks:0)!

So What Happened?

Thanks for all the good advice! I got some of the wipes this weekend and I LOVE them!! My hubby even changed a diaper and(hand on for this one) it only took him ONE wipe to get the job done! He even told me that he liked them and they were worth the money.

I got a free sample with a box of diapers and they were great. They are thicker so they help to get anything that
"sticks" the the skin. I don't use them all the time but I am pleased with them.

The other wipes that work really well and are less expensive are Walgreens brand wipes in sensitive skin or coco butter.

Good luck!

We love Pampers Swipers wipes!! My kids have sensitive skin, so when my daughter was born we used the Pampers Sensitive wipes for newborns. We would use three or four wipes to clean her up, the wipes were so wet too. We decided to try the Swipers, we love them. They are a little thicker and bigger. I use one or two wipe to clean her. They aren't soaking wet either, so we don't worry about diaper rash as much. They are also great for cleaning little hands and faces.

not sure if you are hooked on Pampers, but Huggies wipes are twice as thick as Pampers and a bit larger, so you use less.

M., I hate to tell you, but....daddy's use a lot of wipes no matter what kind you use. My husband, when both of our kids were little, would use a wipe for one swipe only. He would go through about a half a dozen just for a little one. Lord help us if it was a big one. He would go through the whole tub. That is just my opinion. I haven't noticed that big of difference between any brand of wipes.

YES!!! I love them. They are a lot thicker and I usually only will use one or occasionally 2 even with a big one. But I have to say that even with the swipers my hubby still uses a lot of them. I swear he thinks it is toilet paper and our child is an adult. You know the "rule" with toilet paper.... one swipe and throw it in the toilet. I swear that is what he thinks! LOL! ;) If I were you... I would buy a tub of the swipers and give your hubby the cheapies to use! LOL ;)
Good Luck and I hope you like them!

Hi M.,
I got a free sample of those wipes not too long ago and I wasn't impressed. I normally use Huggies wipes because they seem thicker and stronger than the regular Pampers wipes. I personally thought the Swipers were comparable to the Huggies except that the Swipers have kind of an odd smell to them. At least, my husband and I think they do.

By the way, I think ALL husbands over-do it on the wipes. I think the fear of possibly touching a little poop makes them use a ton, haha.

I'm not sure if they are still doing it, but I got a little packet of coupons and the free Swipers sample from Walmart near the photo place. At the time I was living in Virginia, so I can't say if they were giving them away here in Ohio. If you have a Walmart nearby it might be good to stop there and see if you can get a sample. That way you, if you don't like them, they won't be a waste of money.

Best of luck!

Have you considered making your own wipes without the harsh chemicals that are in the store brand wipes? They're much less expensive, safe, and very easy to do.

I love them, they are soft enough for baby's faces yet tough enough to clean the big messes, they even have a wonderful scent.

I am another one that would suggest making your own wipes. You can make them as "wet" as you want and the cost is so cheap that you can get away with using a lot.
