I'm so sorry to hear about your leg. I'm a stay at home mom also living in Streeterville (McClurg Court). I have a 2-almost-3 year old boy. I have been looking to meet other moms in my community. I think the best thing about community is helping out where you can-- so I'm offering to help you out when I can. I'd be happy to give you some afternoons of free babysitting, or just take your boys to the park with my son so you can rest.
I know how hard it is with a broken leg, my husband broke his last summer and was in bed for six weeks!

I might be able to help. I have a two year old myself. I am a massage therapist and doula. I haven't had much work lately. I could use a part time job. You poor thing! I don't know if this will be much help (I wasn't clear if you wanted help for the days in which you have activities or the other days), but our wonderful babysitter would probably be available for weekends. She is 48 yrs. old, a married mother of two children in their 20's, from Peru (a legal resident). Her English speaking is very poor, but she understands it quite well if you speak slowly. She cares for our two year old in our home three days a week, and we currently share her with two other families which rounds out her days during the week. The children overlap at least two days a week, so she is experienced with multiple toddlers. In past years she has worked evenings and weekends during tax season, but this year that work has yet to materialize, so she is looking for occasional weekend work (babysitting, house cleaning, or secretarial).
