Does anyone have any recommendation's for a glider/rocker? We are looking at getting one, but I do not know to much about them and would rather not spend a whole lot of money. What about safety issues?
Thanks.

AFter reading reviews, the super expensive ones had worse reviews than the less than $100 ones at target/walmart. So we went with one at Walmart. I barely used mine... impossible to use really with twins.

I have a glider that I am selling. I'm not looking to get too much for it, just want to see it go to someone who will use it. It has a matching ottaman as well. We always found it especially soothing when they were overtired, teething or sick. If you would like pictures you can email me at ____@____.com or call me at ###-###-####.

The best decision I ever made (not realizing it at the time of course,) was to get a regular recliner/rocker. The kind that you pull the lever and the foot rest comes out. We have slept in it many times with sick children. It is great now to sit in and read stories. We still use it every single day. For my second baby, I received a glider as a gift, and we still used the recliner more. So if you have the space, this is what I would reccommend. It may be a little more than the less expensive gliders, but we have definintely gotten our moneys worth.

If I could make one suggestion. We have a glider from JC Penney, it is a good one and works for us. But....if I had to do it all over again I would get a rocker recliner. Those late nights when they are ill and you have trouble getting them to sleep a rocker recliner would be so much better to have them just fall asleep with you and you can fall asleep too.

I just recently got one as well...for my previous child I had a solid wood rocker and it just wasn't comfy when I was sitting in it at those late hours of the night. I found a glider, nice wood one with nice cushions on it, practically brand new, on craigslist for only 30.00. I would not buy one of those super expensive ones they have at BRU. A lot of people want to get rid of theirs after they are done having kids and I bet you could get a deal on one somewhere. As a last resort, you can get some lesser quality ones new at Walmart/Target.

I, too, have a recliner/rocker instead and it has been wonderful. I felt that it was much more comfortable than the gliders I tried out at the stores. We had to search a bit to find a good deal, but we did find a nice one in the clearance section for less than a glider and ottoman would cost together. I highly recommend it!

We got ours from Wal-mart, for only 75 bucks. Works great, so comfortable on those nights when my daughter is ill and needs to be rocked and held. I only wish I got this glider earlier, like when she was a newborn.

It comes with an ottoman, and very easy to assemble.

There are plenty of gliders for sale at craig's list. I"m sure people are willing to sell them for very cheap prices if u bargain with them.

Good luck!

Hi K.~
I purchased mine from Target back in Feb. It came with the glider chair and a gliding ottoman as well. It was very inexpensive, about $120, and has worked great for me. I do agree, though, that a reclining one would be wonderful, but that would probably cost a bit more. But, I just wanted to share my thoughts with you. They had a few options for the color of the material, and also some options for the finish of the wood also.
