Ok ladies, I know everyone has done it or has to do it. Getting your child ready for Kindergarten. Oh, I can feel the pressure already.

I am looking for a preschool for my daughter. She will be 4 1/2 when the next school year comes along. I have been looking for quite a while trying to find the perfect place. It has come to where I need good reccomendations.

I don't want a daycare/preschool setting. I want just a preschool where she can go 2-3 days a week.That isn't super expensive.

She has never been in a daycare. I know that she needs to get used to going somewhere and not having me with her before kindergarten.

I live in mesa near stapley and mckellips so I would prefer somewhere near here. However I am open to distance also.

I just want the best for her and it is going to take a while to choose so I want to start now.

What can I do next?

Little Light Preschool is awesome!! I taught there with a friend of mine when I was pregnant with my daughter and I can't wait to send her there next fall! It's run through a Presbytarian church called Church of The Master, it's off of Power and Universtiy. I believe it's 3 days a week for 3 hours and it's $125 month, they are running a special right now if you sign up by January 1st you get the first month free and I believe $100 off! The phone number is ###-###-#### and the director's name is Nancy. Hope this helps!

My kids go to the BEST preschool, we all love it! It is a Montessori Based school, with great teachers and it is very reasonable (very low for a Montessori). It is just off of Mckellips and Stapley at the Directors home. I am helping there this year once a week and I love the curriculum and all the hands on activities that children learn from (if you know anything about Montessori, you know what I mean). So far this year there are already a few kids reading. It is an amazing program, with great results-and the kids love it!
I will have to look up the number, so let me know if you are interested!

There is a church preschool that came highly recommended to me, although it is too far for me to drive. It is located near Lindsay and McDowell. It is called Noah's Ark Preschool. I don't know any contact information, but I know that it is not hard to find. The church is located next to Ishikawa Elementary and Stapley Junior High. This is the only preschool I can think of that is in that area, besides International Montessori (name?) which is located on Brown west of Lindsay. This one has been highly recommended as well. Good luck in your search!

I work at an awesome preschool in Gilbert on Val Vista and Guadalupe. We have a great mixture of play and academics. There are 2, 3, & 4 day programs available for her age group. I would highly recommend you coming out for a tour. We rent space from New Hope Community Church. The phone number is ###-###-####. Good Luck! BTW, you can check out the school philosophy, staff, etc at our website www.ladybuglearningclub.com

I've sent two of my children to Trinity Preschool ###-###-####) at University and Gilbert and had a great experience. By working in the classroom you can lower the tuition cost, which I've done, but even without that I think they are reasonably priced. My goal in choosing a preschool is to find a place where the kids will have FUN and really enjoy making friends, learning appropriate classroom behavior, how to follow directions, etc. My youngest is 3 (will be four in February) so I plan to send him next school year to the two day a week program, just to get him used to not being with me for a little bit before Kindergarten the following year. For our family, Trinity has been a great fit. Definately make a list of places that people recommend and go visit each one. Once you do that it is easier to narrow down what you like/don't like and get a better idea of what will be right for you. It can be a very overwhelming process with all of the choices out there. You'll find something though!
