Hi!

I am in a wedding 3 weeks after my child is due. I am in need of a tailor that can alter my bridesmaid dress at the last possible minute. Anyone know of someone that does great work and is fast?

Thanks!
M.

I have just the man for you, in the area that you're asking about. His name is Figo Topal, ("Feego") and he owns Devrim Cleaners. There are 2 stores:

3134 N. Southport
and
4636 N. Rockwell

He's done several excellent alterations for me and my husband. Look him up on Yelp--he always gets rave reviews. Tell him S. sent you. : )

I know it is not in the area but I use Tailor, Needle, Thread in Woodfield, he does great work and did a dress for a wedding (mother of the bride - stand in for a friend of our sons whos mother passed away) in a week as we needed it before we left for the wedding in Sonoma, CA. It was a dress from Davids Bridal and he did a great job on it.

I was in the same situation - in a wedding 5 weeks after my son was born. The seamstress I used was fantastic. She's not in the city, but close enough that it's worth the drive:
Hem & Stitch
4712 Oakton St.
Skokie

Good luck to you and congrats on your new baby!
