Hi there! We have all been there, so you are not alone... the best, most succesful way to lose weight is to change your lifestyle. Its hard the first two weeks, but it becomes easier as you get used to it, much like after you brought that baby home 9 months ago! If we can handle childbirth and child rearing, then we can do anything!! First, set a realistic goal... 16 lbs is realistic. Second, go through your pantry and rid it of bad snacks... chips, candy, soda, etc. and REPLACE it with good stuff (ranch flavored rice cakes and Smartfood popcorn are delicious!). Also get rid of your butter, vegetable oils, etc and REPLACE it with olive oil. Third, while cooking/preparing foods, cut all oil, butter (if you must) in half and REPLACE it with other agents, like egg whites, pasta water (for yummy pasta sauce), chicken stock, wine, seasonings, etc. There are a plethora of great cookbooks out there to help you along (Cook Yourself Thin is my new favorite!). The main thing is not to remove thigns from your life, but just replace them! Last, you need to move your body. The american heart association says you should do 30 minutes of cardio several times a week, but you can break that up into three different ten minute sessions, if thats easier. Keep in mind that this will keep your heart healthy, but for weight loss you need to add resistance and do some weight training. I follow several shows on Fit TV (verizon Fios channel 163, I think... I just record them on my DVR) like any shows with Gilad or Sharon Mann, they are all 30 minutes to an hour and are FREE and are very helpful, no lugging your baby to the gym! I also try to do yoga once a week (I follow a show on Fit TV for that too!) and, with all of the above practices was able to lose the weight from both babies! also, go see your doctor for a complete physical... that will help you determine what you need to do.

The key to all of this is to go a little "hard core" about it when you begin and you have a "goal date" then, once you hit that goal, you can relax a bit and maintain a low fat, low calorie diet. I am in the maintenance mode now and it feels good to be aware of what I put in my body BUT I love the occasional splurge and the lack of guilt that comes with it, because I deserve the splurge now! I went from working out five dyas a weekt o three and I really enjoy the working out now that I found programs that I like and I understand what it is doing to my body. If you need more motivation (which it sounds like you dont) do the Real Age test at realage.com... that was my big eye opener!! It said I was 6 years old than I am!

I teach a bootcamp exercise class and I could help you attain your goals. As the others have mentioned, it will be hard to lose 20 pounds in 2 months. But, with healthy eating and exercise every day, it is not unrealistic to lose 2 pounds per week, which would help you lose approximately 16 pounds by then. I advertise my bootcamp on Mamasource, and your first class is free. So, if interested, give me a call. S. ###-###-####

watch TLC what not to wear. If you can I would set up a DVR to tape the shows so that you can go back and see if there is a lady on there with your simular body shape. Get ideas on how to dress based on how they dress her at the end. I will say that good taylored outfits will look the best. Don't just buy because you feel desperate to get something. If you still have time I would go to several shops.

You will always look good when you feel good about yourself. Even if your weight loss is not 20 lbs every pound is good.

I also have a new product that I am selling that will give you a probiotic--helps to restore your body so you can absorb the nutrients your body needs. Also there is an Essentials product made from 3 Asian herbs that will help to boost your metabolism, increase your energy (7 hours), gives you better blood pressure and blood sugar levels. Maintains healthy cardio functions. Helps with joint pain and more.

These products have helped me to get more motivated and now I have the energy and drive to want to work out more and not eat bad foods.

you can look at the products and even order free samples at my websight

20 pounds in two months is un=realistic, but having said that, try to say away from fried foods, and too much sweets. If you eat fruits and veggies first it may fill you up to not want so much other stuff anyway. if you have a snack of a small handful of almonds or walnuts min morning or mid afternoon,or something small like that if it is healthy, you won't be starving by the next meal and want to grab anything. Surgar things make you hungry, so that is why I said cut down on sweets. What you drink has caleries, espically pop, so cut it out, and try to take your baby for a walk everyday if you live in an area where you can, as that will take the weight off, and maybe a little other exercise if you don't try to over do it the first day or two, work into it, but the combination of healthy foods and some exercise combined does the trick. Olive oil isn't fattnig, and the mild kind with satued vegetable, like red bell peppers, mushroom, yellow or green squash, green onions etc. is really good, and good for you, and not a bunch of caleries.A good receipe for chicken is role chicken breast in olive oil , top with chopped garlic (you can get this in little jars, or chop your own, and put in oven for 29 or 30 minutes, and it is real flavorful, and any meat is filling, and you can broil or bake, and not fry stuff, and that helps with the caleries also. Knit clothes usually show the ( bulges, if you have any) more than a cotten blouse. A tank top with a cute blouse left open is usually very good choice to hide things. Clothes that are too tight, or way to baggy both don't do anything for you. I have a feeling you aren't near as (fat) as you think. We sometimes just aren't the same shape after a baby, and that doens't meant you are fat.

20 pounds in 2 months is not healthy. Not gaining it back is a mindset. I have a great diet that if you follow to the letter will help you lose weight, about 1-2 pounds per week, but you will lose inches as well and retain muscle while losing fat. You should not be hungry and you should feel good on this diet. You could hit a plateau while your body is adjusting to the changes so I couldn't guaranteed you a certain number of pounds in 2 months. I also have a great book that will help with retraining you how to think so that you don't gain the weight back. It would be healthy and realistic to get started, but not reach your goal of 20 pounds in 2 months.

Ditto on other responders... 20 pounds may be unrealistic depending on how overweight you are currently. The closer you are to your ideal weight, the slower the weight loss. My husband and I have done Weight Watchers since mid December. I've lost 42 pounds and my husband has lost 63. We both find it easy to follow, but it does require a lifestyle change. If you aren't ready to make a lifestyle change, than no diet will work.
I also work out with Stroller Strides several days a week. The weeks I don't make it to class, my weight loss slows. I'm averaging just over a pound a week now. In the beginning though I was losing 2 lbs and sometimes more a week.
I do WW online only, but I also have a huge support system (in laws and parents). I would suggest you go to meetings if you don't know anyone else on the program.
As far as clothes go, always wear things that fit well. If they are too tight or too loose they won't be flattering.
Good luck and email me if you have any questions.

Hey there! I have to say I can totally relate to how you are feeling!! I actually searched out ideas for the same thing, and I came upon a great wellness company that has and is helping me tremendously! They have amazing vitamins that are gauranteed to make you feel better and give you more energy, which in turn will help you get energized to get moving! They also have weight loss supplements and foods that are made to help you lose weight and are made with safe natural products! Let me know if you would be interested in hearing about any of them further!!

On fabrics, I would stay away from cotton right now, it is hot and it will be clingier than you want... I would focus on lightweight fabrics with patterns that draw attention away from the areas you are most self concious about.
