at all costs(literally) i try to use organic, though there are lists available that say which foods to always buy organic and ones that you don't have to be so strict about. on a single income i find this list helpful for the budget. it is also best to buy seasonal to save especially in the organic world. a very easy way to include organic foods into your babies diet is to make your own baby food using organic veggies and fruits. it is not nearly as time consuming as you may think, and it costs a fraction of the price of buying the jars of organic and even sometimes the standard. all you need is a blender and an oven. there are great sites that have recipes and techniques(kidsorganics.com). frozen is also a great way to save in this area. the foods are picked at the height of freshness and nutritional value.

Organic is usually best, however with rice cereal I do not think it matters.Organic just means not grown with chemicals.Good Luck.I forgot to say that there are different forms of organic....first there is certified organinc(which means it is 100%), then there is some that are only somewhat organic, and it goes all the down too only one thing in the entire box is organic.....check your lables......I even went as far as making my own formula. The doctor advised me to just go with store bought, and after doing some research, I decided to stay with the homeade.I mixed coconut milk/molases/tahini/soya powder/nutrional yeast/and then I chose to place the banana or prunes or figs or apple sauce in it last....I have the exact ratios....you just dont mix whatever you want....

I have never tried organic rice cereal but I know organic is healthier for a few reasons. One is that they don't use any chemicals, hormones, etc. Another is that because of the way they make organic products they have more nutrients and antioxidants. There are many benefits to eating organic foods but it can get expensive.

I have a son who will be 7 mo. the 26th. I just figure you can't go wrong with organic! No chemicals just makes me feel better! I am feeding my son mostly organic fruits and veggies too.

Organic is supposed to be the best. The difference is that they don't use any chemicals or pesticides when growing the food. It is costly. If you are going to go organic for the cereal, you should go organic all the baby food including formula.

Personally, I don't bother with organic.
