Was wondering if anyone can recommend a pet friendly hotel or condo close to DisneyWorld. Pros or cons about a place are fine :) Thanks so much!

I was also going to suggest renting a vacation home. www.vrbo.com has listings with reviews of each property & lots of details, in all price ranges. You'd be better off doing that, because you'll be able to find a place with space for the pet to go outside.

Check out HomeAway.com to check into renting a condo, townhome or house near Disney. Although we didn't take our dog, we rented a townhome about 1 1/2 miles from Disney last summer and it was awesome - much better than staying at a hotel. We paid about the same that we would have paid to stay in a hotel, but we were in a nice gated vacation community in a 3 bedroom/3 bath townhouse with a full kitchen, washer & dryer and our own private screened in splash pool right outside the back door and there was also a nice, big pool in the community. It's especially nice to have separate bedrooms when you have young children so you can put them to bed earlier without disturbing them. We can't do it this year, but I can't wait to go back - maybe next year.

Anyway, go to HomeAway.com and type in "pet friendly Disney World" into the search bar and you can narrow it down from there. Good luck. Hope you find somewhere great to stay and have lots of fun!

Okay, I'm assuming you mean Disneyworld and not Disneyland? May not matter. Our last stay for Disneyland was at a Marriott Suites and they allowed pets. Disneyland also allows you to board your pets at the park during the day. The employees are not allowed to handle your animal in any way however so you have to put them in and take them out of the kennel.

Before you book one of these "pet friendly" hotels, talk to them about specific policies. Generally speaking even a pet friendly hotel won't allow pets left unattended in your room for ANY length of time. You'll need to plan to have someone stay back or bring your dog with you to dinner etc. or use the Disney kennels at the park during the day.

Not sure about Orlando in particular, but Sheratons are usually pet friendly.

We just got back from Disney World.
It was sooooo hot there, but, fun !
I rec the 30 minute show "Lion King" in Animal Kingdom to get out of the
HEAT for ages 4+. The toddlers were screaming. Too dark and overwhelming for them.

Just do a search of Pet Friendly hotels in Orlando, Florida. You should find something. Disney World does have kennels you can leave your pet at, but
I think you need to walk pet during the day. Not sure.

Just looked. There are 161 pet friendly hotels in Orlando. One being a mile and a half from Disney..
