I suffer from SEVERE PMDD. I'd like to hear from anyone in the same situations who have used Yaz OR even natural remedies. I like to know if Yaz helped or caused more problems. Thank you.

Birth control appeared to help with decreasing the symptoms. I experienced an rapid heart beat with Yaz within 48 hours and was instructed to discontinue taking it.
I haven't found a Dr that can help me to treat the symptoms. I have been told, it's part of being a woman, part of aging, etc...
Basically, I now know my cycle and attempt to manage my life around it with the support of my husband.
I wish you the best of luck.

I haven't used Yaz, but I have used NATURAL progestrin creme....it worked great. It was a pure creme with no other ingredients so my body didn't have to deal with the side effects of the other ingredients, just used the progestrin. I used the Arbonne brand....let me know if you have other questions. Good luck!

How did you know you had PMDD? Did you see your doctor? I only ask because I think I may too, but I'm not sure. I am incredably moody, irratable, tired. And definately not pregnant. I had my tubes tied 6 years ago. Let me know what you find out please. thanks so much!

My GYN told me that the difference between PMS and PMDD is whether or not it interferes with your ability to function. Mine does. Apparently there is a lot of research to back up using anti-depressants to deal with PMDD. You only take the anti-depressant during the time of your cycle when the PMDD usually hits...or as it hits. If you already take anti-depressants you increase the does a bit at this time. ask your GYN about this....mine produced names and dates of various studies on the topic that my general practitioner was not familiar with. I tried it during my last cycle for the first time...it definitely helped, but is not a cure...we are women and so must suffer...sigh...

I tried several different birth control pills, including Yaz, in an effort to combat PMDD. The bottom line is that birth control pills are hormones, and when you mess with your hormones, you can't predict the results. For some women it helps, for others it makes things worse. For me, I got incredibly irritable on Yaz, to the point where I would get furious at people at work and at one point started crying at work, which I've never done before in my life. So my advice is, try Yaz as an experiment but get off it if it starts to make you feel worse ... a month should be long enough to tell.
