My soon to be 4 year old daughter would like a princess tea party for her birthday, but I am looking to my group of moms for help =) All she really cares about is the tea party aspect of the thing but I feel like we need a little more to keep kids occupied. I can always do a craft project or something but I want something that is really fun. Do you moms have any ideas of what else we could do in addition to the tea party (it needs to be affordable too).

I thought about maybe hiring a princess, she would like Cinderella if possible but I cannot seem to find on that is affordable and looks really good. I have searched all kinds of party websites (gigs, partypop.com,etc.) and I also have searched in Dallas Child Magazine. Does anyone have any referrals?

Thanks again for your help moms

What can I do next?

We went to a tea party last year and my daughter's favorite activity was icing and decorating a cookie that she then ate. The year before, we went to one where one of the girls' grandmother came and told a story. You also might throw in a game where they hunt for hidden tiaras or something like that where you have put a princess twist on a familiar game. You don't want to teach new game rules to this age group. Good luck!

Im unsure what part of town your in but I found a Girly girl place over in the Keller Square, off Keller Parkway...I told my neighbor of it as she was looking for a place like this to hold her daughters Princess party! The total cost was like 125.00...she just brought cake and drink boxes...
They offer a Rock Star or Princess themed party..they get their hair done in updos and wear a princess costume,it covers about 10 girls i believe. They even hold a mini fashion show for your guests as well. She told me she'd do this over and over again. They helped load her car as well when it was over. No mess to clean, nada! I can get the exact name if interested. By time you purchase plates, decor and hire a princess youve well exceeded the 125.00...and for a few bucks more you can get mini mani's and pedis, but thats all up to you! ;)
Hope this helps!

If you are near a 99Cent Only store they have all the cups, napkins, plates etc that say princess. Banner, invites all the stuff. Don't pay party city price...

Also you can do matching color cupcakes in a tier... Do vanilla with dying the frosting and get the matching shimmer sprinles and put on top lookes very cute! You can also stack in shape of a crown.

Also google ideas. My daughter went to a princess tea party. They asked all the girls to come dressed as a princess. This was when she was 3 and i happen to have made a mideval gown for Scarsbourough fair too cute she wore it to it...

Google!!!!

Walmart has foam craft kit that you make wands with lil' foam stickers and ribbons....I think it was $5 or something and was plenty for the girls.

We also rented a bounce house from Cheers Rentals that was a purple castle; the girls loved it. We of course drank out of real tea cups....with pink lemonade.

My husband and I are professional Clowns. We offer facepainting, balloon sculptures, comedy magic shows, Glitter Art Tattoos (these are great because the last 5-7 days), friendship bracelets, along with fun interaction and games. We've entertained at birthday parties and large events like the Plano Balloon Festival.

Our prices are very reasonable (we have four great kids of our own so we know how expensive things can get)and we do our best to work within a person's budget.

We can definitely keep the kids entertained with a magic show or face apinting and balloons.
