Red Spot Rash

It could be "cradle cap" - my first son had it on his head & my second on his face, neck & chest. Selsum Blue will make it go away.

Any time you are concerned, call your pediatrician. It's that simple. They can tell you over the phone if it's something worrisome enough that you need to come in for an appointment. We have had several skin issues with our 15 month-old daughter. She has seen a dermatologist since she was 6 months old.
Skin rashes can be a number of things - in my personal case, it was a sign that I had cancer.

My son has had a spotty rash on his upper arms since he was about 3 months old. At first it appeared like a heat rash that just never went away. The pediatrician suggested that he just has sensitive skin and to use baby phisoderm instead of Johnson's products, that has seemed to work well so far. He is now 2 and 1/2 and still has the rash but not as bad anymore. You may want to give that a try! Hope that helps!

did you take her to the doc to see if maybe it might be eczema? it could be a allergic reaction to something in her baby soap,or a heat rash.. but i would take her to the doc if it doesnt/did go away ;) hope it all works out

I sounds like it could be a benign newborn baby rash, but I don't remember how long it lasts. I would call the doctor. That is what your ped is for. I'd hate to try and diagnose over the internet and find out later it was something that should have been seen by your doctor.

The formula might be it...why are you supplementing in the first place? A lot of parents are afraid that the baby doesn't get enough milk, but that is only the case in about 2% of women, so it's not very likely. PM me if you think you need to up your supply, I can give you some tips.

If not the formula, it could be eczema. Have you asked the doctor?

It's not cradle cap, that only occurs on the head and is flaky, not a red, bumpy rash.
