My husband and I desperately need a marriage counselor now. Any suggestions for a good therapist in Troy or surrounding areas? If he/she accepts insurance, that's a plus.

I've never personally used him, but Fred Cavaiani writes a column for the paper I work for on a bi-weekly basis, and he is a marriage counselor. He seems to give pretty good advice, not sure about the insurance thing though, but you can contact him and find out.

Check out Perspectives of Troy. They have marriage counselors there I've heard great things about. ###-###-####. They're Christian counselors, but if you don't want to incorporate your faith into it, it's no problem. They're at Big Beaver & Crooks area.

Have you tried the Beaumont Hospital Physiscian Referral Line? Beaumont has a ton of wonderful doctors and therapists that are affiliated with them. I work for the Troy hospital and cannot speak highly enough of all the doctors I have encountered with my job so far. The number can be found on the Beaumont website.
I don't know of one, but if you find one please let me know.
My husband and I are going thru a terrible time right now, and our son turns one this Sunday, we both want more children but do not think our relationship is in good enough shape.
