You should call Laurie Guido of Guido Custom Homes ###-###-####). She lives in the Lake Highlands area but builds/remodels all over town. Some of her work includes the homes in her neighborhood at Walnut Hill and Fair Oaks, our home in University Park, and the home two doors down from us. She is currently finishing a home on Gaston across from Lakewood Country Club, and a remodel in the Preston/Royal area. She is very detailed and will give you lots of personal attention. I'm sure she would love to talk to you about possibilities for your home.

I don't know any architects, but my husband might; he works for GWC Engineering. Their company often does the civil/structural engineering for rather large expensive homes, but he may know of a suitable architect.

I have a friend who owns his own remodeling business. Scott Williams. He lives in the Sachse/Wylie area but works all over. I'll try to get back to you with a web site.

PS I looked it up and found his info on the BBB site: He has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. He does all kinds of work and may be able to help you find a suitable architect.

The BBB site listed his phone as ###-###-####.

Hi E. S-
David Yeargan (daycobuilders.com) did some work on our house (in lake highlands)- it wasn't a huge job, but the references he gave me were large jobs and they were awesome. I have since referred to other friends and they have all been very happy with his work. The biggest bonus, he will provide all drawings at no charge if you end up using him. The drawings can usually cost thousands so that is huge. Let me know if you need more info. I'm sure his contact info is on his site, but here is the contact number I have for him: ###-###-####

My good friend's husband is an architect. They recently added on a media room and it's fabulous and you would never know it wasn't original to the house. He also has a lot of contacts in the contractor world. His name is Paul Murray of P.L. Murray & Associates, Inc. and his direct number is ###-###-#### and email is ____@____.com luck and I hope your project goes well.
