Seeking Inexpensive Skin Care Products

I'm trying to reduce the amount of money I spend on face products. For the past couple of years, I've used the Clinique three-step system, and I love it. Is there another good skin care regimen that is less expensive? I would also like to use products that are not tested on animals.

What can I do next?

Hi J.!
Have you looked into Arbonne products? Arbonne has a few great lines of skin care based on you needs. Arbonne has NEVER tested on animals and has never used any animal products or by-products in any of their formulations. Arbonne products are also free of PAPA, mineral oil, and of other ingrediants that should not be in skin care products (but are used in the US anyway) There is also a way of getting a 20% discount on Arbonne. If you are interested you can take a look at arbonne.com or my website at www.beautifulinside.myarbonne.com .
Good luck!
Jenny

I like this stuff at Sunflower market (or any healthy food like store has it, Sprouts, Whole Foods, etc), called Alba Botanicals. I just use their Vit. C gel cleanser and like it very much. But there are tons of natural brands at those types of stores. You just have to find what works for you. And it's hit and miss.

I really like using the oil cleansing method. All I use is olive oil, castor oil and maybe a bit of tea tree oil to help with blemishes. Using this, I don't need as much moisturizer, in fact I don't like to use it anymore. I have oily skin and I didn't want to give this a try at first, but I like it very well now. I find when I don't find the time to use this and wash my face with soap and use moisturizer, my face gets very oily and tight.

Hi J.,

I use "Nicole Miller" from Melaleuca (a wellness company). It's a more natural line than Clinque and doesn't contain caustic chemicals like formaldehyde. You have to be a member to order products; but they are high quality, inexpensive and they ship right to your door. It's all I've used for the past several years and I love the products!

Please feel free email me if you'd like more information.

After years of using expensive stuff, I tried Cetaphil products. We had them around the house because my ped recommended it for my daughters eczema. Wow! I love it. It is a fraction of the cost of Kiehls (what I used to use) and my skin looks better. In know it does not work for everyone, but I have fallen in love with it. They have a great moisturizer with sunscreen Sometimes I feel like a really good scrub, so I make it with olive oil and sugar. Then I wash my face after. They only other product I use olay regenerist. Good Luck!

I'm not familiar with how expensive Clinique is, but you should try Arbonne products. Go to www.arbonne.com and find your self a consultant to compare prices. Their products are awesome and you could actually become a consultant to get the discount (they don't have any quotas you have to meet to stay a consultant). Check it out! They don't test on animals either. Good luck.

HI J.-
I so understand where you are coming from. I have had many friends and family members come to me so we can look at what they are currently spending on their skin care and get them on an amazing system that will be beneficial to their skin- since we are moms we want to look and feel great as well as not spend a fortune.
I have been with Arbonne for 4 years and they just came out with a skincare line that has excited many- the cost is so reasonable and the products work.
You can contact me at ###-###-#### or email me at greenmnmwoman and I can share with you- you can then see if they would be a fit for your budget as well as your skin care needs.
Arbonne does not test on animals, has no parabens, no mineral oil, no animal products or by products and the list goes on:)
I hope you have an amazing day and look forward to talking.
Sincerely,
D.

i know this is an old post but i wanted to share with you what i've been using. the website above is where i get it from (my doctor's office). they have an all natural skin care line. i buy the small bottle of johoba oil for only $4...and it lasts forever! you can make an consulatation appointment w/ the anestician jacklyn for free and she can recommend which product is best. but you can't beat the price!!
i've also been using Dr. Brommer's baby cleanser to wash my face. it's also all natural and is $8 for a big bottle and a little of this stuff goes A LONG WAY. so it will last a long time as well.

Hi J.,

I can certainly understand that you would like to spend less money on your skin care, but still have the quality you love with Clinique. I use a line of products that I have used for three years and absolutely love. These products are not tested on animals so that meets one of your requirements. I don't sell them directly, but I can show you where I purchase them. These are exclusive, Nicole Miller products that are very high quality and the set of three products (cleanser, toner and moisturizer) costs me $45.00. If that is in your price range, you can contact me for more information.

Hey J., Oil of Olay has a good line that isn't expensive...It's either daily defense/renewal. Cleanser and moisturizer and eye cream are about $24 and will last you for months and you can get it at your walmart. It's also not tested on animals as far as I know. If you want another alternative use, www.eyeslipsface.com Most of their products totally rock and are dirt cheap (color cosmetics are $1..no joke). They aren't a multi-level company either so no recruiting worries. They've gotten rave reviews from some major players in the cosmetics industry.
