Can anyone recommend a good pediatric allergist? I am looking to bring my son to one for suspected allergies that are presenting as excema, runny nose, etc.

What can I do next?

My boys have seen Dr. Lanier as well. He was great! My boys had HORRIBLE eczema. Dr. Lanier tested them for food & environmental allergies. Nothing showed up! We were definitely stumped. Then I read about the connection between chemicals in household products to eczema, allergies, asthma, ADD/ADHD, etc. We eliminated products with formaldehyde, chlorine bleach, ammonia, and phosphates. About 3 weeks later, their skin was clear & they don't have asthma attacks anymore! Their pediatrician is amazed. :) Be sure to ask your doctor about the possibility of chemicals being triggers for your sweet baby. I would happy to share the information about what we use! :)

Dr. Alvin Aubrey in Las Colinas.

For little ones, he has blood taken then testing done on the blood, so that the "scratching" test is not done on a child. My 20 month old son has been under his care since he was one for peanut allergy and eczema.

Hi, I just took my 5 yr. old to see Dr. Apaliski in Arlington on Matlock. Our pediatrician recommended him, and he was very good with kids. That's a blessing, because I had all three of my kids with me, all vying for his attention. My son has very sensitive skin, a constant runny nose, and a harsh barking cough. Dr. Apaliski thought it might be due to reflux, so we're going that route for now. He's taking Prevacid 2 times a day. Hope this helps.

My 3 yr old sees Dr Apaliski as well. She loves him, and that says ALOT. She's very leary of strangers. The staff is very friendly and good with kids, too. I think the practice has 2 offices if I'm not mistaken. ###-###-#### is the number for the Wright St office.

Dr. Bob Lanier is who I see. I don't know if he is exactly "pediatric" but there are lots of kids in his office when I go in. You may check him out. He has a website at www.askdrbob.com He is located of of hwy 183 and Crosslands Rd. Just West of Bryant-Irvin Rd. in Southwest Fort Worth. Good luck to you.
