My son just turned one year old and I'm seeking recommendations for playgroups or moms gropus in and around Sunnyvale area, where I could take him with me to socialize and play with other kids. I'm already aware of places like Little Gym, Gymboree and Kindermusik. I dont know many people with kids. So, this way, I'm also looking to meet other moms in the area and share experiences. Thank you.
Do you know about Las Madres? (it isn't a Spanish group). It is the largest Mom Group in Santa Clara. You can go to www.lasmadres.org The groups are organized by the year your child is born and location. Or, like me- if you work, you can join the working mom's group (more activities on the weekend). I joined when Nico was 2 months old and we have a solid group with many playdates, outings etc. Check it out!

You should check out Las Madres. They have play groups all over the San Jose area and you can choose which group is closest to you. They are really great, but it cost money to join. I used to be a member, but could no longer afford it. I believe they give a 30 day free trial. I would suggest checking it out. All the mom's are really nice.
Las Madres groups by city and birth year - so you would be part of Club Sunnyvale 2008 or there is a working mom's group too. You can trial for 60 days for free - check it out! It's a great organization.
Las Madres is wonderful! Is it split by location and also by birth year so you will meet moms with the same age children in your area. They also have working moms groups so all activities are on the weekends. Go to www.lasmadres.com.

Look into www.lasmadres.org They can match you to a plagroup by area and the age of your child and very low cost ($50 per year)
