Size 11.5 and 12 Women's shoes...where on Earth Can I Find Them!?!?

Not only where can I find them, but at a reasonable price. My feet have been a size 11 for years. Now they are measured a little over 11.5 and I'm finding it IMPOSSIBLE to find 11.5 and 12's locally, especially in a variety of styles. My feet are not wide but it's assumed since the 12's I've seen at Payless are mostly in wides!

I knew my feet would "grow" eventually after having my daughter 3 years ago (as my mother said they would!) and I'd be fine with that if I had smaller feet. But it's hard enough trying to find 11's and now it's even more difficult.

Any recommendations are appreciated. I'd rather not order online since trying on the shoes are the only way to make sure they fit. But I'll do that if I have to. Any major stores that sell larger sizes? Even smaller stores? Thanks!

What can I do next?

Hi Holly,

I know you said you really weren't interested in online shoe shopping but Zappos.com is a really great website. They have over 3,000 women's shoes that come up in size 11 and greater. If you order a pair and don't care for them you can send them back postage paid. The prices are not always reasonable but you could always do your research there and look elsewhere once you know a particular brand/style come in your size. It's also helpful that there are reviews from other users about fit and comfort.

I have purchased a cute pair of size 12 shoes from a seller on eBay. She's got a lot of great high heels. You should check her page out:

You can also try Baker's, Nine West, Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, Target, Payless, Zappos.com, Amazon, and 6pmshoes.com.

A million years ago I saw a show (on Oprah I believe) about fashionable women's shoes in larger sizes. They had a panel of female basketball players with the same complaint. These players were given an entire shoe wardrobe. Maybe...just maybe you could find something on the Oprah website or even call the show. HTH!

JC Penney's does carry a lot of different sizes, and they have various widths too, unfortunately, for the larger sizes 11's and 12"s, they carry those online. However, you can always ask an associate to order a shoe into the store - you may have to pay for the shoe, in advance, and if you don't like it, when it comes in, you just refund it. I don't know about them carrying any 11 1/2's. I just had to do the same thing - I ordered a couple pairs of cute boots. I was amazed at the styles they had in the larger sizes.

Good luck

Holly

Nordstrom Rack in Naperville has large sizes. My foot is not that big so I don't ever look at the selection but I know that they carry larger sizes.

Good luck!
