I am wanting to get a good sling for when i have my baby. i will be using it from the very beginning & a lot since my son is in wheelchair and so i plan to use a sling instead of carrying in a carrier or using a stroller. i will also be bf & i have seen some slings that have a cover but not sure how well they work, i always used just a blanket before.
thanks!

What can I do next?

Hi, I recommend the slinglings slings. They are easy to use and dont involve any tieing or tightning. They can be used while bf but dont have a cover. I love mine, and they come in many different beautiful fabic choices. Check them out at www.slinglings.com
Good luck!

Well, I haven't used it yet, but plan on getting for my next baby. It's called a Sleepy Wrap. The website convinced me- it looks so comfy and hands-free. It may look difficult to put on, but I think, from the directions, it's easy once you get used to doing it. The website is http://www.sleepywrap.com/ Our baby is due in June, so I guess I can tell you how we like it before yours comes along. You can email me, so I have your e-dress, if you like.

I've heard rave reviews for Hotslings. There are other kinds of carriers too, like a Maya wrap, Mei Tai, ring slings, and maybe a couple others that I can't remember the names of. All the women I know pretty much love whichever of these they have. You can learn more about the different types at http://www.thebabywearer.com/. Personally, I never had the patience to learn how to use one of them, although everyone tells me it just takes a few trys before you're a pro. I use the Baby Bjorn for when the baby is tiny. It's super easy to put on and my husband will wear it. I always see them at Kid to Kid or Once Upon a Child. Once the baby gets too heavy and the Baby Bjorn starts to dig into my shoulders or I want to wear the baby for a long time, I use the Ergo Baby Carrier. This is hands down my favorite. The baby can go on the front or back, is super comfortable, and, again, my husband will wear it too! Good luck and congrats!

I LOVE my overtheshoulder baby holder. There are other slings made in similar fashion - just look for the nylon (as opposed to metal) slingrings.

Or go to slingrings.com and make your own. LOVE THEM! ElizabethLee has an excellent pattern.

I like the maya wrap and the moby wrap. The moby is more comfortable for a newborn, but it can get pretty warm in the summer. The maya wrap is great for all sizes.
