Which would a 4yr old boy enjoy more the Museum of Nature & Science or the Dallas World Aquarium in Dallas? We have been to neither & now have to decide b/w the 2 and I want to know which one my son will be more interested in and is more 4yr old friendly.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I did ask him which one he preferred and I plan on going w/his decision BUT even though I researched and looked at the pics on each website I still wanted to ask for opinions on adults & children who have actually gone to both. They both sounds like great & fun places but the website will always make it sound like that. Thanks to all who responded, y'alls feedback is very helpful and was what I was looking for.

The aquarium holds my 3 year old's attention for about an hour. He'll last half a day at the science museum.

Just ask him.

Then, go online and check out their websites. And show him.
See how it is.
MOST museums/Aquariums, have websites.

I've only been to the Dallas World Aquarium and while my son liked the exhibits, it was so incredibly crowded and hot that he didn't really enjoy it. So if you go there, I'd go during the week as opposed to going on a weekend.

I have been to both and I agree the Museum is much more fun. It's very hands on and there is a lot to do and see. The World Aquarium is neat, but it's a zoo. It's VERY expensive and it's passive...you just look at the animals. And the first poster is right, some days it's insanely crowded.

I agree that the museum would be better. I have been to both and the museum has a lot of hands on activities and things to see. The aquarium is cool but sometimes very crowded and you just look at stuff while walking in a line. Just make enough time for museum - I ran in there with only 1 1/2 hours to closing and we only saw 1/4 of the stuff. Have fun.

Depends on your son. My son (5) loves both the aquarium and natural history museum in our city.

Depends on him. The Nature & Science place have LOADS of hands-on activities for him (including a huge children's museum where he can dress up, play in the sand and water tables, blow bubbles, and sooooo much more) The Aquarium is awesome, but it's much more like an indoor zoo. My son would choose the Science Place, but your's may be more into just looking at the animals. Have a great time wherever you decide!
