Cosely Zoo is the one you are referring to I think. It is on Gary Ave just south of Geneva Road. It is free, with a donation box by the entrance. It is a wonderful place that is designed for little kids. There is a nice picnic area too with tables and shade. I went there as a child and now I take my daughter.

Check out Cosley Park Zoo in Wheaton. Yes, it's free but small. I love taking my 2 year old son there, you could be in and out in an hour.

Are you talking about the Cosley Zoo in Wheaton? It is free, but they accept donations in the gift shop. It's located on Gary Avenue, I believe. They do have a website. Just google 'Cosley Zoo'. Hope this helps! (By the way, it's a really small farm animal zoo)

It is Cosley Zoo & it is free (they do have a Donation box, however, no one watches it, so there is no pressure.) It is located on Gary ave, just south of Jewel Rd. (click or copy/paste the site below). Our family has been going there for 5 years & it is perfect for 1 - 3 Hours. It is small which is good for small kids between naps. Our 2.5 year old girl loves it & the 6 yr old boy is excited for about an hour, then want to do something else. Anyhow the site below should give you all the info you need.

I think the zoo you are looking for is Brookfield Zoo. It is on Ogden Ave and is not free admission. I think it costs around $10 to get in plus parking. They have a website that can tell you more. It is www.brookfieldzoo.org

Cosley Zoo is in DuPage County. It is on Gary Ave. in Wheaton. So from North Aurora, you can take Route 59 North. Go east (right) on Route 38. Turn left on County Farm Rd. Trun right on Jewel Rd. Turn right on Gary (which is at the very end of Jewel Rd.). The first right is the entrance to Cosley zoo. It is on the corner there of Jewel Rd. & Gary Ave. in Wheaton. There is also one in I think Montgomery. I don't remember the directions for that one as well, but you go South on Route 59, past Ogden Ave. & past 75th St. Turn right on Montgomery Road, and you take that down quite a ways. You turn right at some point down there and there is a BIG park with playground, walking paths, water fountain, and there is a zoo there. Both those zoos are free. They are not big zoos like in the city, but they have animals like farm animals, llama, ducks, reptiles, etc.

There is a zoo in Aurora called Phillips Park Zoo. It's totally free, but pretty small. They have Bald Eagles, Gray Wolves, Cougars, a Fox, an Arctic Fox, a Platinum Red Fox, North American River Otters, Llamas, Elk Bull and herd, Goats, a Pot-bellied Pig, Reptiles, Swans, Ducks, Turkeys, Peacocks and more -- I copied that from the website, in case you're wondering. :)
The web address is:
http://www.aurora-il.org/ParksAndRecreation/MunicipalPark... and it has all the info for the place. I've been there a couple of times and it's really nice. There's also a nice park on the grounds and lots of picnic tables for picnics. Hope I've helped!

Hi, C. ~ Here is the information I got off the Net regarding Cosley Zoo. It's in Wheaton. I have heard many good things about it, but haven't had a chance to check it out yet. It is free.
