I Just Want to Cry!!

I am at a complete loss. My son is one and he won't eat. He is underweight and I have doctors yelling at me left and right (not literally yelling but making me feel like I am a bad mother). Here is the issue; since he was about 10 months he started this I want to be in control thing where I would try to feed him his baby food and he would push me away but he wouldn't cry and if I put his hand down, he would open his mouth, but only on his own time. We were over that for awhile and he was eating better. We then went to his one year check-up...

Kids Lunch Ideas

My almost 6 yr old son will be finishing Kindergarten this year and will be going to an all day camp program for the summer. He eats lunch at school on the days the cafeteria serves something he likes (chicken nuggets and corndogs). The other days he takes his lunch to school. The only thing I have packed for him all year is Lunchables (won't eat the cheese) and then I throw in an assortment of "sides" like fruit, chips, etc. So far I haven't had too much concern since he only takes his lunch 1-2 times per week. With the summer program...

What Is a Good Skin Care Products for a Preteen Girl??

My oldest daughter is 11 and it is time that she use some skin care products. There are so many products out there that I was hoping to get some suggestions from other moms. I personally don't use a specific kind usually whatever I can afford. I wasn't sure if there was something better for her skin. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Seeking Preschool Advice and Tax Credit?

Hello all. I am trying to figure out how in the world I am going to be able to afford and additional $320-$400 dollars to send my son to pre-school. That's only two days a week! My son is 4 and my daughter is 19 months-they currently go to a kid a sitter 2-3 days now and she charges $30 a day for both of them. I think this is definitely reasonable but she doesn't claim her taxes so the childcare credit does not apply to me. What kind of percentage or credit do you get for the childcare credit? Is it worth me looking into changing...

School Lunch Ideas Needed

My little kindergartener takes his lunch to school everyday. I put $10 on credit at the school guessing he would one day choose a hot lunch but has yet to do that. He wants a peanut butter and jelly sandwich everyday! I have inquired if he would like a change and he stated one time mac n cheese, but there is no way it would be warn still by lunch time and I don't have that type of "soup" thermos to use. He does not eat meat sandwiches, so those are out. Does anyone have suggestions on what to send him. I know he's got to be getting...

At Wits End with Sick cat...HELP!

Okay, I'll try to make a long story short. I've had my cat ever since he was a kitten, now he's 15 years old. 9 years ago he started getting sick and I took him to the vet and had every possible test done. The only thing they could figure out is that he has some kind of food alergy so we switched him to a prescription food. Through the years he continues to get sick at least a couple days every month. Of course when he gets sick he has to be on the carpet and can't stand still so we end up with a couple days worth of horrible messes to...

Preschool Mean Kids

My 3-year-old (he'll be 3 1/2 next week) started preschool soon after getting potty-trained in February of 2007. All of the other kids in his class started in September of 2006 (when school traditionally starts). My son LOVES activities and teachers and kids so my hubby and I were so excited to finally get him potty trained and enrolled in a preschool. In the past we had done classes at the Y, Gymboree, and play groups here and there. After the first week of preschool, my son started to get really quiet when we asked him about...
