Curves Work for You?

I've once again decided it's time to do something about my weight. I used to be thin and trim without trying, was very active in sports, aerobics, etc. Then kids came. I've slowly put on weight for the past 10 years. I've tried several "life style changes" (aka - diets). W.W. worked for a while several years ago, I've tried that recently and I just can't seem to stick to it. Also did Thin & Healthy, once again worked for a short while, couldn't handle it in the long run. Prism and I didn't work well together at all. We have a local Curves,...

Curves During Pregnancy

I was curious if anyone does or has done Curves during pregnancy? I just started going back because of having a HORRIBLE first trimester with feeling sick 24/7. I'm 16 weeks and finally feeling better. My doctor gave me the go ahead to work out, with no further instruction. I went to the Curves yesterday and the women there didn't really have any guidance on what is or isn't safe during pregnancy. Does anyone have any idea? I thought I read somewhere not all of the machines are safe during pregnancy, but perhaps I'm wrong? Thank you in advance!

When to Exercise?

I am about 20 pounds overweight, due to having 3 kids and lack of self-control when it comes to eating. I really want to begin exercising. I start then stop, start then stop, but I can never get on a schedule. Now that school is out for the summer, it is going to make it even harder for me. My best time would be do exercise at night. BUT I hate to cut into the time with my hubby. I stay at home with my children, so walking up and down the street is not an option at this point. When do YOU exercise? Do you have any suggestions for me?

Curves Question and Other Gym Question

I just joined curves for their $30 for 30 days promotion study and am not convinced yet that this is right for me. I am not sure that I will see results where I need to see results in a machine that I will only use for 30 seconds. I am looking into joining a gym that has childcare/activities for the kids and was wondering how much a month something like lifetime or bally's would be. anyone know?? thanks

Exercise After C-section

How long after a C-section would I be able to continue my pre-pregnancy workouts? This would include pilates, jogging, and weights along with ab work. I've starting walking with an incline on a treadmill and also using a stationary bike, but I start to get this bad cramp in the incision site. I plan on talking to my doctor, but I was wondering if anyone at this site had any advice.
