Weaning from Breastfeeding

My daughter is 16 months old and still breastfeeding, in addition to eating 'adult' food. She can drink from a sippy cup or bottle, and has started drinking cow's milk at school. I don't mind still breastfeeding her at this age, but the frequency of it is driving me crazy. She will sometimes eat, stop, eat, stop, over and over. She just got over a fever that she had for several days, so I would get up when she cried at night because it was a pretty high fever and I did what I could to make her feel better. Of course last night, she kept...

Wondering If Son Is Allergic:(

My son is 15 months old and since he was born I have been going back and forth between Huggies diapers and Pampers. Really what ever is on sale and if neither I would buy Huggies. Well my problem is about 2 1/2 months ago he started to scratch his upper butt. At times it is really bad that it will bleed. It looks horrible again. Over the last months it seems to get better and then come back. Well right now it is really really bad. I was thinking about it and for the last 3 weeks it has just been huggies I have been using and is seems...

How Many Times or How Long Should I Let My 14Month Old Cry Before I Give In

All this week my 14month old wakes up crying and wants mom or dad to sleep with him in the spare bedroom. last night i tried to let him cry himself back to sleep and he woke up three times in a row crying. After the third time I just felt awful so i gave in and went and slept with him. He has a night light and a ceiling fan on low along with lots of fun pillows and teddy bears in his bed. But enough room to move around. Help i don't want this to be a habit!

18 Mo and Not Eating

Hello everyone! I am desperate for some advice or other opinions. I was inspired to write in from reading the request and responses to Chantel's question. My daughter is 18 months old. We have only fed her pureed foods since she has had problems swallowing (she would gag and throw up with new textures.) But, with the help of a speech therapist, she has made great progress. She can now eat thicker, pureed/mashed foods with lumps and has proven to me that she can bite off and chew just about anything else. The problem is, she won't. I...

Dirty Teddy Bears!

My now 2-yr. old received her fair share of teddy bears over the last 2 years - most of them are WHITE! Adorable, but what were they thinking?! Can anyone share their experiences/success stories with just throwing them in the washer? This is dirt that cannot be dabbed off :) Thanks!!

How Do I Stop My Kids from Coming up and Sleeping with My Wife and I?

Every night around 2am at least one (if not both - 5 and 3 year old) of my kids come up with their blankets and teddy bears looking for a spot in our bed. I've been trying to understand why they are coming up (bad dream), then i take them back down to their room, comfort them and put them back to bed. This strategy is about 50% successful.

Help Stop Breatst Feeding and Get 8 Month Out of the Bed!

Love my baby girl and have no problem leting her sleep in our bed. My man has not complained at all. But I know he is not really happy with it. It is just that I can get more sleep by feeding her when she wakes up and not have to get up at night. She does not sleep in her crib at all (maybe 5-6 times). So To work on getting her to sleep on her own should I first stop breast feeding? She takes a bottle OK but will not feed herself very well with it. Sippy cups - same thing. She also eats well. I tend to hold her when I put her to sleep and...
