Where do you buy clothes, esp. pants? I am almost 5'10 and regular length pants are too short. I need slacks for work but I don't want to pay $75 for one pair. I was just wondering where other long legged mamas shop.

Thanks!

I buy ALL my work pants at New York & Company. The "tall" fits me great and the prices are wonderful! Especially because you can always find wonderful coupons!

How did I know you were going to ask where to buy pants?
I have a 36" inseam. THe best bets I have found are Land's End. You can order them from the catalog and have them hemmed.
I don't even own good slacks and my jeans are a 34" so they are too short.
I used to wear men's Levi's 28x36 bootcut jeans.

well, I am plus sized so Torrid does me sizes 12-24 but if you need smaller I used go to Tallandall.com. It's euro based so sizes are different, I think they have a table to help or you can find one. But, I loved their pants when I could wear them! FYI I am 6'2"

I am 5' 8" and wear a size 4 with a 34" inseam so I feel your pain! My favorite place for nice work/dressy pants is Gap. I just wait until I get an email offer for 20 or 30 percent off, then I buy. I've found it's worth it, and with the sale price I can get them for 40-45 bucks. I've had good luck with them, they fit great and are good quality! Good luck! :)

I'm only 5'7-1/2" but found some great (too long actually) pants from Land's End that lasted for years.

I am 6' tall with a 36" inseam. Banana Republic, Gap and Old Navy (all the same company) have a huge selection online. If your work is a little more formal in the dress code, Banana Republic also carries tall blazers/suit jackets, and tall blouses. Ann Taylor and Ann Taylor loft carry tall sizes online also. For sweaters/blouses, White House Black Market tends to cut theirs long in the waist (so, tall enough for us tall gals!) and they have sleeves that are plenty long enough as well. (Pants, not so much.)

For jeans, I shop at Nordstrom. Yes, it's pricey, but it's a wonderful thing to go to a store where every single pair of pants has a 36" inseam!

Also, check out longtallsally.com - another Mamapedia mom recommended it to me. They have pants that are up to a 38" inseam!

Coldwater Creek carries 'longs' in most of their styles. The pants can be spendy, but they do have a lot of sales and coupons.

I too have long legs- 36" inseam. I have been buying from Buckle for a long time, but just realized a few months ago, if you get on Buckle.com you can get their jeans at like 50-80% less. Some are factory seconds- and some are clearance. If you do buy offline, you might want to go into the store to try on the fits to see which style fits you best. I also buy from Gap- (if there is a Tanger outlet near you, they have awesome prices) and even some Express longs (good coupons though the mail) are long enough. I haven't ever bought from Overstock, but would think they'd sell some at a better price also. Good luck!

Shopping online just doesn't work for me so I typically wait for sales at stores. A few times a year I also cruise through second hand stores in nice areas - tacky but truthful. Sometimes I can find a nice pair of trousers for super cheap. I have a seamstress who can alter trousers for about $1.50 each. I just make sure I have enough hem to turn out. Personally I have her turn out all of my trousers even the store bought ones because I wear heels and don't like the high water look.

I buy second hand or Racked ''Seven For all man kind jeans''. Second hand or thrift stores normally charge $30-$50. And the Rack has them for $99.99. Jeans are normally my Splurge when I have Christmas or Birthday Money.

I am six feet tall. And 125 pounds. So jean shopping is the worst thing I have to do.

I have also found jeans at American Eagle that I love....and they are fairly inexpensive.

Lands End for almost all of my pants/jeans . You can order by inseam length. They have good quality and reasonable prices. Be sure and give them your e-mail address and you will get a lot of discount offers.
