Looking for a Nanny/Nanny Share in or Around Oak Park

I don't know what my situation will be in June, so I can't commit to a nanny share with you at this point. I'd be interested in knowing what you find out, though.

I also live with my husband in a single family home in Oak Park. We have a two month old. I'm currently weighing my work/stay at home options. Best of luck with the birth of your baby. We are looking for a Nanny Share to begin in August! How old is your child? We're looking for a loving and energetic person to watch our two boys for three days a week in our home. We live in Oak Park. (Come August the boys will be 3.5 yrs old and 9 mo old) We'd love to find a playmate for my oldest son.

Starting date is in August and hours are approximately 7:45am- 5:45pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

*Our oldest will be in preschool every morning from 8:15-11:15.
So it would just mainly be caring for the baby in the mornings- and then our oldest will need to be picked up from preschool and both boys will need lunch. Basically we're just looking for someone to care for our two boys as if they were their own family and we will treat you like family in return!
We're looking for someone who wants to get down on the floor and play educational and fun games w/ the boys and for someone who will take them to and from their daily activities and to our local parks, the zoo and out and about as the weather gets warmer! We try to limit any TV exposure!

We live in the Western suburbs and our family is from Oak Park. There are a couple of resources you can use to find babysitters or nannies. First, Concordia University (local) has a great early ed program. They have a job board there which you can call and post for babysitters or nannies.
Also, the village has a resource booklet for parents. It has all kids of nanny referral information. Dominican University is another option. Also, there is a great parent resource center called Parenthesis located in Oak Park. They can help you find babysitters,nannies, playgroups, etc.... Or just give you an hour off while you put the kids in babysitting and sit in the lounge area and pay bills or whatever. You can find them in the book or online.
As for babysitters the park district teaches a babysitting class and should post a list of certified babysitters or you can give them your name and someone should call you back. Or try the local high schools.

If all else fails e-mail me I have a list of non-local nanny referral agencies and how to go about finding a nanny.

We linve in OP also. We have a 4 y.o. and are expecting another this week. We are considering a nanny also. Pls keep us posted as we may be interested in nanny sharing.
