My daughter is 4 and her birthday is late in November. I have the vpk registration but i was wondering if she could get into a public school. can anyone help me
My 4yr old now 5. Is also in the VPK program. She attended Greenland Pines Elem on Greenland rd.Which is a Public School in the Southside area.
Kim, public schools do offer VPK, it's on the DC website. You have to register, and as far as selections, to get into the public schools, I believe, not 100% sure, it has to be one of your neighborhood schools, and space available.

Are you looking for a public school that has VPK? I do not think that schools are holding VPK, but you child has to be turning 5 by September 1st in order for her to go to school.
