Update on Homebirth Question

I have helped several moms from this board find homebirth midwives. I'm not sure if I helped you the first time or not, but if you send me your info, I can post it to the doula board and they can post it from there to the midwife board with your permission.
I would need the town you are wanting to deliver in, your name, your phone number, your email, and your due date.

Also, I am seeing West Suburban Midwives and I think they are WONDERFUL. I will deliver in a hospital but they let you dictate EVERYTHING about the birth and even see you in their office first before admitting you to the hospital (which is across the street.) They have 3 rooms with labor/birth tubs if you want a waterbirth as well. The hospital only requires you to stay for 6 hours too, which is really different because most I have toured make you stay overnight.

I would personally see a CNM to begin with rather than an OB if you can't find a midwife right away.

You must be talking about the midwife Diane huh, who does homebirths? She is great. Are you still going to try to do a homebirth?

With a rsik of uternine rupture, make sure you deliver in a hospital whether you go with an MD ot a midwife. Most MD's want you to try VBAC so it's really up to you which way you go. I would atleast get the ball rolling with an MD visit and then make a decision. I have a great ongyne in Downers grove who does vbacs if you need one.
