Looking for W Omaha OBGYN

I see Dr. Thomas Besse. I moved here a year and a half ago and needed a doctor. My friend's cousin lives here and is a nurse. She recommended him to me. He is wonderful. I had a baby at Lakeside 7 months ago. He was great. He kept checking on me throughout the day. He was there to deliver when things got a little scary. One of the nurses told me he is one of the best. One of the friends I made here just switched to him and also really likes him. Hope this helps. Good luck!

I think my OBGYN is amazing, his name is Dr. Michael Nabity and his phone number is ###-###-####. He does deliver at Lakeside. He has an office in Lakeside Mediacal Plaza, but his main office is at Immanual. I never had a problem getting an appointment at the Lakeside office, but there were a couple of tests they like to do at Immanual. I VERY highly recommend him. I am not sure your feelings on delivery, but Dr. Nabity was great for me because he was fine with inducing me right around my due date and was firing up the epidural fairly early in the labor process.

Hi A.! I was a Labor and Delivery nurse for 8 years and I know many of the OBGYN's in town. My husband is also an OBGYN but he does not deliver at Lakeside so I guess I can't refer you to him. I worked at Lakeside for three months right before I delivered my baby 1 1/2 years ago. I really enjoyed working with Dr Linda Collins. I have a friend who was a nurse in her office and really likes her also. She is very nice, sensitive and most importantly, knowledgable. You can find her info at Alegent.com. Hi A.. I currently go to OmahaOBGYN. They are located in the Lakeside Professional health building. My doctor's name is Dr. Devries & he is great. I also know a couple other of friends that go to this OBGYN and use other doctors & have heard nothing but great things. You will have the option to deliver at Lakside hospital. Just keep in mind that they do not have a NICU. Good luck!

I delivered at lakeside also, a year ago. My dr. is Dr. Robin Clemmer, and I really like her. You have to see her nurse practitioner every other appointment (ask for Julie Greenwood), but it wasn't a big deal. They are both incredibly nice.

I just moved here from MN and I also had to find a new OB/GYN because I, too, am pregnant. I found Dr. Ann Sullivan. She will deliver at Lakeside. She also has will take prenatal checkups at the clinic that is attached to the hospital.I have been very happy with her and her nurse.

I'm not sure if anesthesia is of concern to you, however, last I checked (1 year ago) Lakeside did not offer 24 hour in-house anesthesia. Bottom line: if you deliver at night you may have to wait until someone arrives to either place an epidural or if your delivery becomes urgent/emergent; that too you may have to wait for someone to provide you with anesthesia if you'd require a c-section. Just a little FYI you may wish to investigate further.

I loved Dr. Robyn Clemmer at Omaha OBGYN (I have friends and co-workers who had other doctors with them and they all sound wonderful)- they just moved into one of the buildings next to Lakeside hospital. Lakeside is wonderful, I delivered there and all of the nurses and staff were just great - wonderful experiance! Best of luck to you!
